Our Historic Collection is a stunning collection of reclaimed timbers. Because each plank has been individually crafted, the end result will give you the most bespoke flooring available. Each plank width and length will vary so no two floors will be the same. Our Historic Reclaimed Columbus Pine begins by cutting a 4mm thick veneer and pressing them onto a plywood base. If you are looking for a one off floor, our Historic Reclaimed Columbus Pine is just for you.

Reclaimed Timber:

The bespoke nature of crafting each plank results in an individuality that cannot be replicated creating varying widths and lengths for a truly authentic look. Creating planks begins with cutting a *4mm thick veneer from reclaimed timbers and pressing them onto an FSC – certified plywood base to give an overall thickness of 15mm. A selection of our most popular finishes are complemented with matching herringbone / chevron designs.

What is an Engineered Floor ?

An engineered floor has taken all the benefits of both the old solid and semi solid floors and perfectly blended them into one. What you look at and walk on is solid timber so you get that feel and look you can only associate with real wood. The real wood is then pressed onto a plywood base which gives your floor the stability that is missing from a real wood floor. Because of this process your floor will not move as much as with solid timber. All engineered flooring is suitable for underfloor heating.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

The cleaning and maintenance of our engineered flooring is similar to all wood flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. Our Clean Green Cleaner is what we recommend for use on all our floors along with our Dada Spin Mop (both of which are available by clicking the relevant links)
