Mountain Herringbone Deep Smoked Oak

64.99 sq. yd.

Our Deep Smoked Oak Herringbone is 14mm thick and has been prefinished in a UV matt lacquer to give a more natural look and feel, similar to that of an oiled floor. It has a Character/Rustic grade which means that it has a medium colour variation and beautiful large knots. The herringbone pattern gives you that elegant style, and its versatility means that it can be used in both modern or rustic settings. This floor has a brushed surface which gives the floor an added texture and a more natural appearance. The planks are 90mm wide, tongue & groove and come in 450mm fixed lengths. Deep Smoked Oak Herringbone has been double smoked to give it a much darker appearance and is also available in a matching straight plank.

What is Herringbone Flooring ?

Herringbone Flooring is the increasingly popular style of flooring which brings back an old, traditional style creating a zig zag pattern updated with modern styles and colours. At Floor Store Direct we have the largest selection of Herringbone Flooring in Ireland. Whether you want a traditional woodblock, modern engineered or a more affordable laminate herringbone.

What are the benefits of an Engineered Herringbone ?

Engineered herringbone the biggest selling hardwood herringbone at the minute. It has all the benefits of a solid floor but with a new found stability. Because it is solid timber pressed on to a plywood base, it is a much more stable product. As it is so popular at the minute, engineered herringbone is available in a number of timbers and styles. From the natural look of an oak floor to the warmth and depth of acacia, you will find whatever you desire. Because an engineered floor sits on a plywood base, acclimatising the floor is not necessary.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

The cleaning and maintenance of our engineered flooring is similar to all wood flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. Our Clean Green Cleaner is what we recommend for use on all our floors along with our Dada Spin Mop (both of which are available by clicking the relevant links)
