Our Historic Collection is a stunning collection of reclaimed timbers. Because each plank has been individually crafted, the end result will give you the most bespoke flooring available. The Herringbone option to this collection is real one off so you will have a true piece of craftsmanship unrivalled for quality and style. Our Historic Reclaimed Herringbone Madison Oak begins by cutting a 4mm thick veneer and pressing them onto a plywood base. If you are looking for a one off floor, our Historic Reclaimed Herringbone Madison Oak is just for you.
The contrasting characteristics of salvaged wood and precision cutting are fused to create stunning herringbone and chevron flooring. The creative process begins with selecting the finest materials from around the world which are shaped into extraordinary pieces of modern-day flooring by master craftsmen. Traditional methods are used throughout the process which begins with pressing 4mm veneers of history onto an FSC – certified plywood base for stability – each one cut meticulously for an exacting fit. Our Herringbone and Chevron collection is complemented with a matching plank format which is perfect for defining different spaces without compromising the overall desired effect.
What is an Engineered Floor ?
An engineered floor has taken all the benefits of both the old solid and semi solid floors and perfectly blended them into one. What you look at and walk on is solid timber so you get that feel and look you can only associate with real wood. The real wood is then pressed onto a plywood base which gives your floor the stability that is missing from a real wood floor. Because of this process your floor will not move as much as with solid timber. All engineered flooring is suitable for underfloor heating.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
The cleaning and maintenance of our engineered flooring is similar to all wood flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. Our Clean Green Cleaner is what we recommend for use on all our floors along with our Dada Spin Mop (both of which are available by clicking the relevant links)
