Clean Green Intensive Cleaner Active 500ml

Some Do’s and Don’ts of Caring for Your Wood Flooring.

Well you have just had your new wood flooring fitted and it looks super.  Now you want to know how to keep it that way.  So here are a few of the Do’s and Don’ts of Caring for your Wood Flooring.

Do’s

Sweep/Vacuum regularly, using a soft sweeping brush/soft brush head of the vacuum.  This will keep dirt and debris to a minimum.

Clean regularly, with a good wood spray cleaner and micro fibre mop, or a damp mop.  This removes dirt and by using a spray cleaner you are not soaking your wood flooring which would cause damage.

Use Felt pads on your chairs and tables so they do not mark your wood flooring when they are moved on a daily basis.

Use mats at areas of heavy traffic, such as entrance area etc.  This removes excess dirt and debris from peoples foot wear as they enter you home.

Don’ts

Don’t drag heavy furniture across your floor. It will mark it.

If you have a Solid Wood or Engineered wood, don’t allow stiletto heels near your flooring, they will leave marks.

Don’t use too much water on your floor, damp mop and a spray cleaner are best.   Wood and Water do not mix well and leaving your floor wet will damage your laminate, solid or engineered wood flooring.

Well we hope that helps you on the right track to maintaining beautiful wood floors, but if you have any questions just contact our showroom and we will be happy to assist you.
